Welcome to Ravenwood Yorkshire Terriers, I hope that you will find the information on our pages helpful as well as educational on this wonderful little breed. My name is Terri and I've been raising Yorkie's since 1999, wanting to be sure of what I was doing I studied the breed for almost two years before starting my search for my first one. After I got my first girl I decided I wanted to try my hand at showing, little did I know how much went into such an endeavor how much I still had to learn. I have since gone on to earn my first home bred Champion and along the way made a lot of wonderful friends who have helped me get to where I am now.
All of my Yorkies live in my home with me and are a major part of my everyday life and they have aided me in the lessons that I have learned along the way. The most important of those lessons is what an absolutely wonderful companion the Yorkshire Terrier is. I don't breed often and never before the age of two years old, all of my dogs receive any testing needed before breeding to ensure that I have the healthiest possible parents and puppies.
I have tried to make my site as informative as possible so that anyone thinking of getting a Yorkie for their home can be aware of what to look for and what questions to ask the breeder.
